Collective.Guide
Connecting Communities in Central Minnesota
Collective.Guide is a trusted, community-driven directory built to help people find and connect with real local businesses, organizations, and events across Central Minnesota. More than just a listing platform, it's an intentional marketing hub designed with fairness, transparency, and community at its core.
Member listings are randomized to give every business equal visibility, and the experience is completely ad-free — no pop-ups, no noise, just opportunity for connection. Users can easily search and filter by keyword, category, or location to find exactly what they need, while businesses get a beautifully crafted profile with photos, contact info, social links, reviews, and many additional features.
As a Collective.Guide member, you're not just getting listed — you're joining a collaborative network where local businesses support, recommend, and grow alongside one another.
The heart of Collective.Guide is its local business directory, thoughtfully categorized, from Health & Wellness and Food & Drink to Building & Remodeling, Artists & Creatives, and everything in between. Each listing is crafted with care, not auto-generated, and includes photos, contact details, a map, social media links, a 'call to action' button, and inclusion in every relevant category. Listings are randomized in search results so no business can buy its way to the top, which means every member gets a fair shot at being found. Members enjoy a lifetime listing without subscription fees, and can update their profile or share specials anytime.
The Resources section is a searchable library of helpful content contributed by local members and knowledgeable community voices. Articles, guides, and how-tos span directory categories and cover everything from choosing a contractor after storm damage to wedding planning timelines, seasonal recipes, and supporting your local food shelf. It's real information from real people, something that's becoming harder to find online. Members can contribute their own resources, positioning their business as a trusted expert in their field while adding genuine value to the community.
The Central MN Events Calendar is a comprehensive, filterable community calendar covering everything happening across the region: live music, festivals and markets, classes and workshops, fundraisers, open houses, games and tournaments, food and drink specials, and other types of events. Events can be filtered by both category and audience (families, seniors, youth, women-focused, sensory sensitive, and others), making it easy for community members to find what's right for them. Members can submit events for free, and the calendar is designed to keep Central Minnesotans informed and engaged with what's happening right in their backyard.
This is not a closed calendar. Some events are found and added by Collective Guide to help you discover what's happening locally. Some events are submitted to our calendar by organizations who are not yet members. Member events are cross-linked between the calendar and member listings. We invite everyone to share but events for non-members do not include hyperlinks to external sites. Like the rest of Collective Guide, this calendar exists to help you find and connect with others in your communities.
