Mount Carmel Ministries

Mount Carmel Ministries is a place of rest, renewal, and recreation where people come to experience Jesus. We provide biblically-based, Christ-centered programming and genuine hospitality, welcoming everyone, regardless of religious background or personal beliefs. Ministries include family camps, summer camps, summer worship, fall and winter retreats, and a growing lineup of special events throughout the year.

Summer & Family Camps

Family camp at Mount Carmel is a summer getaway built for families of all shapes and sizes. Families can focus on what actually matters: slowing down, reconnecting, and making memories together.

Mornings offer age-specific learning for kids and adults. Afternoons open up into swimming, boating, hiking, family olympics, tie-dye, arts and crafts, and yes, naps are very much encouraged. Evenings bring campfires, talent shows, outdoor games, worship, and a trip to the canteen for a sweet treat. Families leave feeling rested, spiritually renewed, and more connected than when they arrived.

Education at Mount Carmel

Mount Carmel Preschool, Opening Fall 2026.
A Christ-centered preschool is launching on the Alexandria campus where young children will grow in faith and life through play, relationships, and daily time in God's creation.

Mount Carmel College Community and Bible School.
Founded in 1938 for young adults, Mount Carmel has always been a place for Bible education, spiritual growth, prayer, and preparation for a life of service. In 2023, that founding mission took a new shape with the launch of a College Community and Bible School, making Mount Carmel an active college campus once again.

Facilities and Rentals

Mount Carmel is a year-round venue for ministry retreats, business gatherings, and family events. The Chapel accommodates up to 300 guests with multimedia capabilities, flexible seating, and air conditioning. Lower level meeting spaces offer classroom and boardroom setups with full audio, video, and internet technology.

The Lodge features custom food service, seating for 200, a library, lounge, sauna, and flexible meeting space. Overnight accommodations include ten hotel-style air-conditioned rooms and 35 cabins of various sizes, each with a private bathroom.

What Mount Carmel Believes

Jesus Christ is at the center of everything here. The theme is simple: Jesus Only. Mount Carmel is more than a camp or a resort. It is a movement calling people to awakening and renewal in God's Word, set against beautiful Lake Carlos on a campus full of woods, water, and wide-open space.
